About Bootstrap Solutions
We know construction. We know what's broken.
Bootstrap Solutions was built by people who've spent years inside construction and contracting operations. We've seen the same problems repeat across dozens of companies: time disappearing into inefficiency, money left on the table, decisions made with incomplete information, and teams stuck using spreadsheets and manual processes that should have been automated years ago.
Instead of selling you software that looks good and doesn't solve anything, we started Bootstrap to solve the actual problems we've seen.
How we started
Bootstrap exists because AAC Contracting, a 300-person environmental abatement and contracting company, built internal dashboards and systems to fix their own operational chaos. Over years, they developed modules that:
- Eliminated unbilled time and project overruns
- Gave field teams and office staff real-time visibility into what was actually happening
- Cut administrative overhead by hours per week
- Made it clear where money was being wasted
These systems worked. So we took them, packaged them for other contractors who face the same problems, and made them accessible at a price point that makes sense for mid-sized operations.
What we do differently
We don't run a consulting engagement and hand you a 200-page report. We don't sell you software and disappear. And we don't use trendy design or overpromise what technology can do for you. Instead, we:
Spend two days in your business.
We audit your operations across finance, project management, scheduling, billing, HR, and compliance. We document where you're actually losing time and money — specific, measurable, provable.
Recommend only what you need.
We suggest specific modules that address your biggest problems. Not a 10-module suite when three will fix 80% of your issues.
Implement with your team.
We don't disappear after installation. We make sure your people can actually use what we've built.
Keep it simple.
No unnecessary complexity. No feature creep. No design that gets in the way. Just tools that work for contractors, built by people who understand contractors.
The team
Eric Klosterman
Brings 10+ years of operational leadership and business development in contracting. He runs operations at AAC and knows what works and what's theater.
Carter McMichael
Built the original systems at AAC from the ground up. He understands the technical and operational side — why certain workflows matter and how to build for people who need simplicity over trendy features.
Nathan Boor
Handles the business side — deals, legal, relationships with clients. He's worked in contracting long enough to know when someone's selling and when someone's actually solving.
We're not consultants pretending to understand your business. We're operators who built this because we got tired of seeing contractors leave money on the table.
Why contractors choose Bootstrap
You've probably been pitched software before. It looked flashy, promised the world, and didn't fit your actual workflow. We don't work that way.
We speak your language.
No consultant jargon. No startup buzzwords. Just straightforward diagnosis and recommendations.
We understand construction economics.
We know what's realistic for a 20-person operation vs. a 200-person operation. We know where contractors actually bleed money. We know what implementations actually stick.
We've proven this works.
We didn't theorize these systems. We built them and ran them across a real 300-person company. We know where the friction is because we lived it.
We'll tell you the truth.
If we audit your business and find that a specific module won't move the needle for you, we'll say that. We won't oversell you into a contract.
We're betting our reputation on solving your actual problems. Not on selling you software.
